Designed in the late 1920’s by world-renowned architect John Eberson, the Central National Bank Building is a steel-frame, limestone-clad skyscraper that serves as the only structure in Richmond designed in the Art Deco style of architecture.  As stated by the 1979 National Register nomination, the CNB building serves a compliment to “the successful efforts of Richmond merchants to establish a financial institution to their special needs.”  This mixed-use development combines modern functionality with a historically preserved building.  Comprised of a variety of different residential floor plans and retail space, the CNB Building provides modern functionality and amenities to a historically rich and culturally significant area of the city of Richmond.The Central National Bank Building is situated in the heart of Broad Street, offering unique access to all major attractions while remaining in close proximity to both major universities within city limits.
