Washington, DC — December 20, 2013 — Douglas Development Corporation and McCaffery Interests announced today that leading sports apparel retailer Sports Zone Elite has signed a lease for space at Arch Square in the Chinatown neighborhood of Washington, DC. The 1,796 square foot store, located at 675 H St NW, is slated to open in the summer of 2014.
The deal with Sports Zone Elite completes leasing at Arch Square, a 54,574 square foot mixed-use development project developed jointly by Douglas Development and Chicago-based McCaffery Interests. First built in the late 1890s, the restored property has undergone an exterior and interior renovation featuring high ceilings, exposed brick, spacious outdoor terraces, and a rooftop deck. The five-story building is also home to a Walgreens flagship store, as well as Panera Bread.

Sports Zone Elite has been Washington, DC-based since 1985 and operates stores from Baltimore, MD to Norfolk, VA. The Chinatown location will be its 31st store.
