WASHINGTON, DC – Douglas Development is pleased to announce a partnership with the New York City-based Floored, Inc., which will allow tenants and brokers to explore, over the web and on iPad devices, photorealistic 3D models of office space at 525 9th Street NW. Eight thousand square feet of office space, on the fifth and seventh floors of the building, are currently available for lease.
Floored is a technology company that works with a new 3D camera to build precise and automatically generated 3D models of commercial real estate interiors.
“We are very excited to team up with Floored to creatively use cutting-edge technology to lease our properties,” said Norma Jemal, Douglas Development Principal. “With their extensive technical background and savvy vision for the future of commercial real estate marketing, we are confident that Floored can help us draw prominent tenants to this terrific property.”
Douglas Development contracted Floored in early February to perform 3D scans of their portfolio and to create 3D test-fit plans for a variety of potential tenants. Douglas Development is Floored’s first DC customer. The product of this collaboration is an interactive model of the property, ready to be explored on the web and iPads.
“Douglas Development has shown to be a terrific partner to our young business,” said Floored’s CEO and Co-Founder, David Eisenberg. “The team brings tremendous industry expertise and insight to our process. We are very excited to build upon the early enthusiasm for our technology to deliver the most compelling way to visualize commercial real estate, on the web and mobile devices.”
525 9th Street NW, named Historic Row because the property consists of historic buildings that date back to 1875, houses Washington, DC’s world famous International Spy Museum. In addition to the museum and existing tenants, three prominent new tenants have signed leases. The renowned Shake Shack will be opening a 3,205 SF restaurant, and the premier Knightsbridge Restaurant Group will be opening Nopa Kitchen + Bar, an American Brasserie in 8,300 SF. Additionally, The New Republic has leased approximately 10,000 SF on the 5th and 6th floors of the building. With views of the National Portrait Gallery and the nearby Verizon Center, a combination of new architecture and historic buildings, and a mix of uses including retail, office and residential apartments, 525 9th Street NW is a unique opportunity for prospective tenants.
