Washington, DC – May 13, 2013 – Douglas Development today announced that specialty candy store, IT’SUGAR will join popular soft-serve yogurt shop, ForZenYo and new bar concept Jackpot Tavern in Chinatown, across from the Verizon Center and Gallery Place Metro Station. The candy store will open its first Washington, DC store at 714 7th Street in August 2013. The yogurt shop and new bar concepts will open late summer.

With more than 70 retail locations, IT’SUGAR has become one of the largest and fastest growing specialty candy and gift retailers in the world. The Washington, DC store will offer 1,775 square feet of pure sugary bliss, and for those looking to maximize their sugar rush, FrozenYo will open its new location at 712 7th Street, in a 1,120 square feet part of the former Ruby Tuesday space. Jackpot Tavern, a new concept from the owners of Rocket Bar and Iron House, will open it’s 1,812 square foot space below Lime Fresh at 726 7th Street.
